Take a closer look at what MicroVention® TERUMO has to offer.Logistics Operations Intern Job Description: As a Logistics Operations Intern, you will work closely with our logistics team to assist in the day-to-day operations of our supply chain. This role is ideal for someone interested in learning about logistics, transportation, and supply chain management. The intern will gain hands-on experience and contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations.Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating the transportation of goods and materials to and from warehouses, distribution centers, and customers.
- Support the logistics team in tracking shipments and ensuring on-time deliveries.
- Help with inventory management, including stock counts, tracking inventory levels, and updating records.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve logistics-related issues.
- Conduct research on industry best practices and suggest improvements to current logistics processes.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to logistics operations.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in the logistics management system.
- Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by the logistics team.
- Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Previous experience or coursework in logistics or supply chain management.
- Familiarity with logistics management software or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of basic logistics and transportation concepts.
- The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters).
- Relocation may be available for qualified candidates.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship.
