Technician II, R&D
Position Overview
Works in the laboratory to fabricate prototypes for animal and bench testing and performs testing and documentation duties with direct and moderate supervision.
- Fabricate prototypes, pilot units, verification units, and validation units.
- Records test results on standard forms and writes test reports describing procedures used.
- Provides support for the development of new products.
- Interfaces with assemblers to teach new procedures.
- Conducts tests to verify product integrity in the design phase.
- Recognizes problems and takes corrective action.
- Provides input into product design, testing, and processes.
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) to five (5) years assembly or hands-on technician work
- Set-up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes.
- Prior experience in the medical device industry or related experience.
- General computer skills including Word and Excel
- Comprehension of technical documents.
- Basic math skills.
