Position Overview

Works in the laboratory to fabricate prototypes for animal and bench testing and performs testing and documentation duties with direct supervision. Typical duties include:
  1. Fabricate prototypes, pilot units, qualifications units, and validation units.
  2. Records test results on standard forms and writes test reports describing procedures used.
  3. Provides support for the development of new products
  4. Interfaces with assemblers to teach new procedures.
  5. Conducts tests to verify product integrity in the design phase.
  6. Recognizes problems and takes corrective action.
  7. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Job Details

    1. HS Diploma or equivalent. High school/trade school education, or equivalent experience.
    2. Up to 3 years assembly or hands-on technician work.
    3. Set-up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes.
    4. Comprehension of technical documents.
    5. Basic math skills.
    Desired skills:
    1. Prior experience in the medical device industry preferred.
    2. General computer skills including Word and Excel desirable.
