Position Overview

Direct the organization’s worldwide material management processes, policies, objectives, and initiatives. Job duties:
  • Direct and coordinate raw materials and production planning activities.
  • Establish key service level and inventory performance metrics.
  • Coordinate Sales and Operational Planning (SNOP) with global sales and marketing.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage raw materials, WIP, finished goods, field trunk stock, and customer consignment inventory levels.
  • Develop, analyze, manage & optimize short and long-term worldwide plant capacity.
  • Minimize financial exposure of field trunk stock, consignment, finished goods, and raw materials inventories.
  • Direct shipping, order fulfillment, receiving, and warehouse activities in the US, Costa Rica, China, Europe, and other MicroVention worldwide locations as applicable.
  • Manage resource allocation, including budget and staff.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
    2. Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of Supply Chain or Operations experience.
    3. Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or medical diagnostics industry.
    4. Minimum ten (10) years of management responsibility.
    5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    6. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to assign and monitor work.
    7. Extensive knowledge and expertise with materials management.
    8. Knowledgeable in LEAN principles for supply chain.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
    2. Strong organizational skills.
    3. Cooperative, multidisciplinary approach to working with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Regulatory, Purchasing, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Manufacturing functions.
    4. Expert knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, preferably SAP.
    5. Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
