Our summer internship program immerses each intern in an interactive, project-based work environment. Over the span of three months, interns will participate in an in-depth orientation week, facility tours, Leadership Speaker Series Q&A panel, community service activities, baseball games, and beach bashes—all crafted to invest in our interns’ personal and professional development. Quality Assurance Intern

The Quality Assurance Internsupports the quality assurance activities related to development and manufacture of medical devices. The intern will work with engineers to assist on various product reliability and quality issues.Typical job duties might include:

  • Working with quality inspectors and engineers to improve component inspection processes
  • Develop fixturing to facilitate inspection processes.
  • Set up software-based automatic inspection processes using video measuring systems
  • Improve expiration dating processes for raw materials
  • Support product return relabeling activities
  • Support engineers to review and maintain quality documents
    1. Working toward a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or other related discipline.
    2. Ability to read and follow device inspection procedures
    3. Computer experience and skills including MS Word & Excel.
    4. Ability to use microscope

    Desired Qualifications
    1. Strong analytical capability and organization skills.
    2. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously.
    3. Knowledge of medical device industry
    4. Demonstrated knowledge of minitab
