Our summer internship program immerses each intern in an interactive, project-based work environment. Over the span of three months, interns will participate in an in-depth orientation week, facility tours, Leadership Speaker Series Q&A panel, community service activities, baseball games, and beach bashes—all crafted to invest in our interns’ personal and professional development. Operations Finance Intern

The Operations Finance Intern will assist with the day-to-day Accounting and Data Analysis functions in support of the MicroVention Manufacturing Organization. The Intern may assist with month end close procedures, while completing other projects as assigned. Duties may include:
  • Reconcile Purchase Price Variance general ledger accounts by working with Finance peers and Manufacturing partners to identify and resolve Standard Cost and Supplier Pricing differences.
  • In partnership with the Finance and SAP implantation teams, identify and resolve gaps in financial data reporting.
  • Assist with Standard Cost and BOM set-up validation in support of the SAP ERP implementation
  • Supporting the quarterly and annual audit process and preparing necessary schedules, reconciliations and analyses.
  • Assist with internal audit control testing (J-SOX compliance)
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Assist with special projects
    1. Working toward Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline.
    2. Demonstrates a working knowledge of relevant GL accounting principles
    3. Intermediate/advanced MS Excel knowledge and experience
    4. High degree of accuracy in working with large amounts of data
    5. Must assume responsibility for timeliness of work completion and perform to meet strict deadlines
    6. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

    Desired Qualifications
    1. Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS technical accounting skills,
    2. Skill in analyzing and interpreting financial data in a manufacturing environment
    3. Proficient with ERP systems and accounting software (JDE a plus)
