This individual will join a small and motivated team. The Sr Specialist, Global Talent Development will report to the Sr. Manager, Global Talent Development, and will partner with the Director, Talent Acquisition & Development, the Talent Development Team Members, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to implement programs, projects and initiatives to advance MicroVention’s Global Talent Development Strategy. The goal is to foster a culture of innovation and enabling organizational achievement. Job duties:
  • Identifies best method for Talent Development Program design and moves the project/program forward from ‘idea’ to implementation/execution, while independently managing assigned Talent Development program(s) throughout the year. This includes but is not limited to the following expectations: leverages existing content and creates tailored content to develop and launch an impactful development experience; considers future needs in the design, execution and ongoing management; is current on registration needs for assigned programs, maintains current records, maintains content and administrative program guides current, writes and distributes participant communication; and is responsible for daily management including answering inquires and emails within expected time frames.
  • Partners strategically with the Talent Development Specialists and the applicable global region to launch Talent Development programs and initiatives as directed by the Sr. Manager Global Talent Development.
  • Facilitates strategic thinking and implementation of Talent Development initiatives, such as the Global Learning Community (MircroVention’s informal learning platform) and works closely with cross-functional Associates globally to get impactful work done through others. This includes setting direction using strong interpersonal skills to guide, coach and encourage.
  • Builds and articulates metrics/measurements and comprehensive reports, presents findings, and proposes enhancements.
  • Enables informed decision-making proactively and with little guidance by conducting research and comparative analysis on development approaches and best practices in connection with the Talent Development Strategy.
  • Responsible for generating assigned program participation to meet program while remaining cost-conscious. This includes partnering with the Talent Development Specialist I to streamline marketing efficiencies.
  • Takes ownership with vendors and manages their performance on quarterly basis. Works closely with HRBP’s when needed and members of the Talent Development Team to effectively deliver offerings.
  • Administrative Management: Includes ordering materials; scheduling rooms; monitoring usage and effectiveness of programs; tracking attendance; monitoring behavior change, reporting out on findings; integrates Talent Development content into learning management system; run reports as needed.
  • Participates or takes the lead on specific projects as needed.
  • Additional responsibilities include: leverages existing resources including content, processes, reports and either ‘gives it new life’ by enhancing or repurposing; projects as they arise; consistently document efforts that provide good results for future implementation; incorporate Core Values and Global Competencies in everything produced.
    1. An accredited degree in: Organizational Development, Talent Development/Learning & Development, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Communications, Project Management.
    2. Minimum of six (6) years of experience in Talent Development, Talent Management, Human Resources, Project Management, or related field.
    3. Highly organized with strong project management skills with ability to effectively juggle multiple projects, strong attention to detail and well organized while managing multiple stakeholders.
    4. Able to create compelling reports and PPT presentations.
    5. Strong research experience and capabilities.
    6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to create trusted relationships quickly.
    7. Clear, concise, and compelling communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills.
    8. Facilitation or presentation experience.
    9. Proficient with technology (Virtual platforms, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Master’s degree.
    2. Consulting experience.
    3. Demonstrated program management experience and instructional design experience.
    4. Preferred Certifications: Myers Briggs, Franklin Covey, BlueEQ or related Emotional Intelligence Assessment tool).
    5. Global experience.
    6. Fluent in other languages (Spanish, German, French, Mandarin).
