Our summer internship program immerses each intern in an interactive, project-based work environment. Over the span of three months, interns will participate in an in-depth orientation week, facility tours, Leadership Speaker Series Q&A panel, community service activities, baseball games, and beach bashes—all crafted to invest in our interns’ personal and professional development. Process Engineer Intern

The Process Engineer Intern supports the manufacturing activities of new product lines by developing and optimizing processes, qualifying equipment and identifying cost reductions. Typical job duties include:
  • Support launch of new products.
  • Create, execute and document equipment/processes validations (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Create fixture/component drawings for new or existing processes.
  • Performs initial development and feasibility studies of new or existing processes.
  • Interfaces with other departments (R&D, Quality, Regulatory) to solve production problems.
  • Investigation and testing of product/ process validations.
    1. Working toward a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or other related discipline.

    1. Strong interest and/or experience in equipment process development and equipment /process qualification.

    1. Coursework and/or knowledge of statistics and tooling design (Solidworks).

    1. Ability to read and prepare technical documentation.

    1. Computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint (SolidWorks a plus).

    Desired Qualifications

    1. Strong communication skills.

    1. Knowledge of statistical tools including Design of Experiments (DOE) and Cpk for process development, optimization/characterization.

    • This internship is a hybrid of on-site and virtual working environments.
    • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship.
