Our summer internship program immerses each intern in an interactive, project-based work environment. Over the span of three months, interns will participate in an in-depth orientation week, virtual facility tours, Leadership Speaker Series Q&A panel, community service activities, and virtual outdoor social events (including a Virtual Escape Room and Virtual Trivia)—all crafted to invest in our interns’ personal and professional development. Manufacturing Process Intern

The Manufacturing Process Intern supports manufacturing of products for medical devices with work including maintaining product process, developing and optimizing processes, and identifying cost reductions. Typical job duties include:
  • Support of existing manufacturing processes.
  • Support projects transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
  • Interfaces with other departments and functional groups to solve problems.
  • Evaluate and implement new concepts and technologies to production floor.
  • Investigation and testing of product processes.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    1. Working toward a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline.
    2. Strong interest towards medical devices.
    3. Demonstrated strong interest to “build” and “create”.
    4. Demonstrated ability to prepare technical documentation and/or manufacturing procedures.
    5. Computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Solidworks a plus).
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Knowledge of standard machine shop equipment and process, GD&T, tooling/fixtures design.
    2. Knowledges of CAD software: Solidworks.
    3. Strong organization skills and analytical capability.
    4. Strong communication skills.
    5. Knowledge of statistical tools including Design of Experiments (DOE) and Cpk for process development, optimization/characterization is a plus.


    Additional Information
    • The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters).
    • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship.
    • Relocation may be available for qualified candidates.
