Our summer internship program immerses each intern in an interactive, project-based work environment. Over the span of three months, interns will participate in an in-depth orientation week, virtual facility tours, Leadership Speaker Series Q&A panel, community service activities, and virtual outdoor social events (including a Virtual Escape Room and Virtual Trivia)—all crafted to invest in our interns’ personal and professional development. Year over year, MicroVention continues to have best-in-class conversion rates, converting interns in the following departments: HR, HR Communications, Talent Development, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Accounting, and more.

Human Resources Communications Intern

The HR Communications Intern will work in close collaboration with the HR Communications Specialist and the Director of Talent Acquisition & Development to implement various projects and initiatives; ultimately advancing the Global HR Communications Strategy (including Global Social Media Strategy), MicroVention’s Employer Brand, and internal communication efforts. Typical duties include:

  1. Partner with various individuals throughout the organization to create and update graphics, video, and other digital/print media for targeted marketing/advertising for key HR offerings.
  2. Partner with Talent Development to continuously update messaging and advertising for MVP program materials.
  3. Assist with communicating the company culture through existing digital media channels (company website, corporate intranet, social media, and other communications platforms)
  4. Assist with content creation for various social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram (including Instagram stories), and Facebook.
  5. Partner with HR Communications Specialist and Director of Talent Acquisition & Development to develop and enhance the social media strategy.
  6. Ensure that all external materials or ads created are routed, reviewed and approved by Marcom, Legal and Regulatory as mandated by MicroVention quality procedure.
  7. Partner with Global Marcom on various projects (when needed).
  8. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
    • Working towards an accredited degree in Graphic Communications, Graphic Design, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Marketing or other related discipline
    • Skilled with using Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
    • Highly organized and motivated
    • Able to handle ambiguity and juggle multiple priorities
    • A passion for social media
    • A passion for creativity
    Desired Qualifications
    • Experience in web and digital media (graphic design, photography, video editing.)
    • Experience using DSLR cameras for photo and video shoots.
    • Experience using video editing software (Preferred: Adobe Premiere Pro)
