Senior Assembler
Position Overview
Performs the assembly or sub-assembly of medical device and products in senior level position under limited supervision from line leaders and supervisors in accordance with manufacturing documents.
  • Follow manufacturing instructions to assemble products
  • Soldering experience is a requirement, strong preference for soldering on guidewires
  • Record data associated with the building of products on build records
  • Communicate with Leads and Supervisors when issues related to materials, processes, and/or written procedures are encountered
  • Work with engineers and supervisors to perform special assembly requests
  • Follow all related quality, compliance, and Company policies and procedures
  • Understand Operations objectives and work with team members to achieve overall production goals
  • Learn and maintain knowledge and skills to perform successfully in at least 6+ manufacturing procedures
  • As directed by Leads and Supervisors, train other assemblers on certified manufacturing procedures
  • Other department dependent duties as assigned or required
  • Meet all performance standards and metrics by using time and resources efficiently
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by keeping work area in a neat and organized manner
  • Must be willing to work overtime when needed

  • Required Qualifications
    1. HS diploma or equivalent
    2. General knowledge of clean room procedures
    3. Previous experience using microscopes
    4. 4+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in medical device assembly, soldering
    5. Ability to do small part assembly work using a microscope, vision system and/or related automated equipment
    6. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate (read, write and speak in English) with peers, engineers, leads, supervisors, and managers
    7. Basic math skills
    8. Knowledge of basic measuring techniques including scales, rulers, US and metric measurement
    9. Ability to work in a culturally diverse work population


    Additional Information
    • The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters)
    • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship.
