Position Overview- Senior Technician
Builds complex prototypes from verbal instructions and/or simple drawings and performs testing and documentation duties with moderate supervision.
Typical Job duties:
  1. Fabricates complex prototypes, manufacturing processes and fixtures.
  2. Sets-up and conducts tests of completed units or components under operational conditions to investigate designs or to obtain data for development and standardization.
  3. Records and analyzes test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data.
  4. Supports production or process development as required.
  5. Sets-up, adjusts and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
  6. Provides input into product design, processes and testing
Position Overview- Technician II, R&D
Works in the laboratory to fabricate prototypes for animal and bench testing and performs testing and documentation duties with direct and moderate supervision.
Typical job duties:
  1. Fabricate prototypes, pilot units, verification units, and validation units.
  2. Records test results on standard forms and writes test reports describing procedures used.
  3. Provides support for the development of new products
  4. Interfaces with assemblers to teach new procedures.
  5. Conducts tests to verify product integrity in the design phase.
  6. Recognizes problems and takes corrective action.
  7. Provides input into product design, testing, and processes
  • Required Qualifications- Senior Technician
    1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
    2. Must be proficient and have demonstrated skill in any one area or significant portions across all areas; technical project coordination or process/equipment/tooling development or product translation effectiveness (or prototyping). Combination of one or more is ideal.
    3. Five (5) years’ experience as a technician with at least two (2) years as an assembler/operator in in the medical device industry.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Computer skills including Excel, Word, and AutoCad/SolidWorks.
    2. Knowledge of materials and suppliers.
    3. Knowledge of processes and/or machinery and equipment used in the development and production of medical devices.
    4. Good written and oral communication.
    5. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

    Required Qualifications- Technician II
    1. HS Diploma or equivalent. High school/trade school education, or equivalent experience.
    2. 3-5 years assembly or hands-on technician work.
    3. Prior experience in the medical device industry.
    4. General computer skills including Word and Excel

    Desired Qualification
    1. Set-up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes.
    2. Comprehension of technical documents.
    3. Basic math skills
    4. Level 3 training of QSR, ISO9001, ISO13485, and MDD.
    5. Basic job-related training
    Physical Requirements for Senior and II
    1. Occasional light lifting up to 25 lbs.
    2. High microscope usage.
    3. Extended periods of sitting

    • The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters)
    • Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and not require visa sponsorship.
