Position Overview
Supports development of products for medical device, catheters, with work including writing or verifying specifications, designing new products, designing fixtures, test processes, equipment and raw materials to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements. Typical duties include:
  • Develop new product concepts and products for our catheter portfolios.
  • Engineering design and process development.
  • Generate intellectual property, write invention disclosures.
  • Supervise technicians, specialists, and associate engineers.
  • Largely self-directed, capable of meeting project goals with minimal supervision.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Required Qualifications Engineer II, R&D
    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Material Science Engineering.
    2. Minimum three (3) years of medical device industry experience, OR Master’s degree plus one (1) year of medical device industry experience (one year must include six months of manufacturing engineering experience).
    3. Good communication skills.
    Required Qualifications Sr. Engineer, R&D
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Material Science Engineering.
    • Minimum six (6) years of catheter medical device industry experience.
    • Good communication skills.
    Desired Qualifications
    • Design and development of medical devices.
    • Reading and preparing technical documentation.
    • Working knowledge of standard machine shop equipment and processes and medical device manufacturing equipment and processes.
    • Knowledge of medical and technical development.
    • Computer skills including Word, Excel and CAD (Solidworks proficiency required).

    • The primary work location for this position is Aliso Viejo, CA (company headquarters)
