The Technician II, R&D works in the laboratory to fabricate prototypes for animal and bench testing and performs testing and documentation duties with direct and moderate supervision. Job duties:

  • Fabricate prototypes, pilot units, verification units, and validation units.

  • Records test results on standard forms and writes test reports describing procedures used.

  • Provides support for the development of new products

  • Interfaces with assemblers to teach new procedures.

  • Conducts tests to verify product integrity in the design phase.

  • Recognizes problems and takes corrective action.

  • Provides input into product design, testing, and processes.

  • Required Qualifications
    1. HS Diploma or equivalent.
    2. 3-5 years assembly or hands-on technician work.
    3. Prior experience in the medical device industry.
    4. General computer skills including Word and Excel.
    5. Set-up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes.
    6. Comprehension of technical documents.
    7. Basic math skills.

    Desired Qualifications

    1. Experience with Guide Wires is highly desired
    2. Background in a R&D environment
