Group Lead, Business Excellence

Position Overview

Responsible for driving a Lean Conversion Program, while standardizing best practices across multiple plants. Also responsible for expanding the continuous improvement culture throughout the plant and measuring the financial result of those actions. Manage the Industrial Engineering activities including the capacity analysis, layout administration, and information systems deployment. Responsible for the training team, giving support to different departments. Job duties:
  • Lead a group of individuals of varying technical experience to develop continuous improvement and industrial engineering projects.
  • Manage the industrial engineering resources for site sustaining on capacity analysis, process simulation, layout changes, and related duties as required.
  • Manage the Cost Reduction Program metrics for Operations.
  • Support cost reduction projects within and across all departments, focused on Operations, but not limited to Operations specifically.
  • Assist in establishing best practices to ensure the achievement of MicroVention safety, quality, and financial goals.
  • Assist in establishing baseline and target metrics for key processes.
  • Accept the responsibility of a leadership role in improving processes.
  • Ability to problem solve and think independently in a constantly changing production environment.
  • Lead the change process by working closely with the Directors and leadership team.
  • Communicate project status and issues in a timely, clear, and appropriate manner to the organization.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.

    1. Bachelor’s degree (Industrial / Production / Chemical / Mechanical).
    2. Three (3) to six (6) years of experience in medical device industry.
    3. Two (2) to five (5) years of talent management / supervisor experience.
    4. Must be able to directly lead and/or co-lead high-impact process improvement projects with demonstrated results.
    5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are key.
    6. Excellent organizational and project coordination ability with acute attention to detail is essential.
    7. Presentation skills required.
    8. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Project.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Lean Six Sigma Certification desired.
    2. Experience leading and facilitating improvement projects in a fast-paced environment.
    3. Successful experience working independently, effectively, and confidently in a team environment.
    4. Ability to Work with multiple associates and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
    5. Ability to train, coach and mentor.
