Sr Manager, Manufacturing Engineering
Position Overview
Manage and support projects for all aspects of the MicroVention manufacturing engineering and production support team. Job duties:
- Integrate the activities between departments to solve problems associated with sustaining product, which include improvements to existing processes and tooling/ equipment, and new technology.
- Take a proactive approach in conjunction with production to maintain the required output based on the sales forecast. This includes the production floor, tooling and equipment and recommendations on personnel.
- Champion the use and implementation of Lean, Six Sigma and 5s methodologies.
- Lead and develop direct reports.
- Provide input to Management Review.
- Mentor interns, engineers, and technicians.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- BS degree in related field.
- Minimum eight (8) years of related professional medical industry experience or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, statistical software, Solid Works.
- Ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical and technical development.
- Background in Lean/Six Sigma techniques.
- Proven history to manage multiple projects and multiple teams.
- Ability to work cross functionally across R&D, Quality, and Production.
