Position Overview

Lead the collection and analysis of complex data for trends, patterns, and shifts to create business intelligence in support of critical business decisions by senior management. Leverage data and advance analytics to drive operational efficiencies, optimize processes, and enhance decision-making. Manage projects related to data virtualization, including Enterprise applications, reporting, and mobile users, from different data sources.Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, pay particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts. Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications and develop policies for data governance.Job duties:
  • Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze complex manufacturing data sets and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Using the right tool kit to extract and harness data from a variety of systems, analyze, and present results.
  • Design and implement data-driven solutions to improve manufacturing processes, reduce defects, and increase overall productivity.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data science techniques and apply them to solve manufacturing challenges effectively.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis, visualizations, and statistical findings.
  • Establish, maintain, and appropriately archive complex reporting formulas, spreadsheets, and dashboards in organized electronic folders.
  • Assist in implementation, testing, and validating data.
  • Perform data analysis of key problem areas to assist in root cause analysis.
  • Assist with ongoing data architecture processes and governance.
  • Create detailed dashboards and reports (e.g., graphs, charts, tables) prepared for routine trending, senior management reviews, ad-hoc requests, and cross-functional requests as needed.
  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or related field of study.
    2. Minimum four (4) years of relevant data science research or industry experience OR a master’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or related field of study plus a minimum of three (3) years of relevant data science research or industry experience.
    3. Manufacturing experience is a plus.
    4. Experience in using various platforms and languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, R, SQL, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, MySQL, etc.
    5. High proficiency with Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookup tables, graphs, macros, etc.).
    6. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
    7. Ability to multitask and work collaboratively.
    8. Minimum four (4) to five (5) years of talent management/supervisor experience.
    9. Very strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with all levels of management and communicate problems to appropriate teams within the organization.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
    2. Experience in developing data visualization with Access, Tableau, or Power BI.
    3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and experience with data manipulation and visualization libraries.
    4. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, systems, and quality control methodologies.
    5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
