Position Overview

Clinical SAS Programmer InternThis role will help provide the MVI Clinical Research Team (CRT) with high-quality clinical data inclusive of (but not limited to): tables, listings, and forms/graphs (TLF's) and data visualization from multiple clinical sources to help the CRT review and make the best choices upon the high-quality available evidence.Working with MVI CRT, you'll expand your scope, including an introduction to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), hands-on experience in dealing with real medical device clinical data with opportunities to develop code in SAS.You will primarily be responsible for learning from and working with the guidance of a Clinical Data Manager (Mgr.) and Clinical SAS Programmer team member as to how to plan and execute programming in support of (but not limited to):
  1. Peer Review
  2. Create: Study Reports, Data Listings, Graphs, Figures, and Data Visualizations
  3. Attend study team meetings
  4. Review key study documents

  • Required Qualifications
    1. Working toward a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Life Sciences or Health Sciences, or other related majors.
    2. Fluency in at least one programming language (SAS, R, or Python)
    3. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Notepad (or Notepad++)
    4. Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization where you will showcase your decision-making, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Strong analytical capability and organization skills
    2. Prior experience in at least one programming language (SAS, R, or Python)
    3. Prior experience analyzing data
    4. Prior experience with data visualization and presentation (e.g., Power BI or IBM Cognos)
    5. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously
    6. Experience working remotely
    7. Knowledge of medical device industry
