
Internal Communications Specialist II

Position Overview
Responsible for internal communications across the organization and play point for all internal and external Human Resources (HR) communications globally, including engaging in the planning and implementation of marketing and branding programs. Partner with the global internal communications & digital media team, and key stakeholders – including members of the MicroVention Executive Team – in planning and creating strategies, tactics, activities, and materials for the purpose of conveying the most positive marketing message to target audiences. Manage marketing materials to ensure compliance with corporate communications guidelines.
- Take a leadership role in the development of written and verbal communications internally and externally to drive associate engagement and attract talent to MicroVention; maintain employer brand.
- Assist with the creation of marketing graphics and collateral for the company, brand, and associates.
- Partner with the line managers and executives, along with the communications/digital media team to continuously develop and enhance the social media strategy.
- Develop creative portals to communicate the culture of the company through existing digital media (website, Enplug, LinkedIn, corporate Intranet, and other social media platforms) for prospective associates, business partners, customers, Terumo Associates, and MV associates worldwide.
- Act as the “content owner” and be responsible for maintaining content on internal communications-related pages of internet and intranet.
- Partner with others within internal communications & digital media on various corporate videos, photo opportunities, monitors, and brochures to amplify the MicroVention brand externally and positively enhance the associate experience.
- Help create/communicate/drive the narrative (brand) around core values, culture, and the associate experience globally.
- Ensure all materials or ads created are routed, reviewed, translated and approved by Legal and Regulatory as mandated by the company’s quality procedure.
- Maintain close relationship with preferred vendors and customers.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition (TA) to ensure company slide presentations and video testimonials are consistently updated and in-line with HR strategic direction. Solicit direct input from current customers, business partners, and associates.
- Play a key leadership role in managing the various internal associate surveys (e.g., Great Places to Work, Terumo Values, etc.).
- Initiate digital-based surveys and conduct interviews with internal and external clients to monitor/measure and receive feedback on the effectiveness and utility of the available Marketing materials and branding programs. Provide summary and recommendations for continuous improvement to appropriate managers.
- Track all deadlines for final marketing content and ensure they are provided to the publisher on time.
- Publish and manage yearly HR events schedule for all Global, Domestic, Corporate and MV HR Programs and activities on SharePoint and required calendars.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Graphic Communications, Business, Marketing, or other related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in web and digital media (e.g., digital video design, digital photography, digital publishing systems, digital file preparation, etc.).
- Knowledge/experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of communications, branding, and social media strategy experience (and/or relevant internship experience).
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, including intermediate MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-look up, etc.).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven analytical skills and ability to comprehend documents and concepts.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity and working knowledge of various social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snap Chat, etc.).
- Actual writing, brochure completion and video design samples required.
- Knowledge/experience with digital software platform tool, SharePoint and Enplug.
- A passion for creativity.
- Previous experience in a Human Resources (HR) and Medical Devices environment.
