Position Overview

Responsible for coordinating, prioritizing, and managing daily activities of the Maintenance Team. Take a proactive role in supporting the Maintenance Team, provide internal customer support, and build a high level of trust with internal customers. Sustain the maintenance area in a manner that promotes an efficient, safe, and clean working environment. Additionally, identify and execute tasks that enhance the ability of the team to provide added value line maintenance service, provide guidance/direction on maintenance technical issues, and assist in providing innovative, creative, effective, and long-term solutions related to the manufacturing line maintenance and repair. Job duties:
  • Assign and prioritize tasks for technicians.
  • Maintain schedules, approval of timecards, and PTO requests.
  • Responsible for training technicians.
  • Mentor technicians by motivating and providing guidance and direction to help achieve goals.
  • Help develop/maintain interdepartmental communication and relationships.
  • Maintain production area in such a manner as to promote a safe, effective, and clean working environment.
  • Generate and maintain appropriate work-related records, such as maintenance work orders, IQ/OQ reports, PM schedules & checklists, etc.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment asset data.
  • Assist in reviewing and approving ECN documents.
  • Write and update procedures to ensure efficiency, standardization, and accuracy or repair/maintenance services.
  • Identify trends, cycles, and intervals and initiate and complete documented troubleshooting studies on equipment to outline opportunities for improvements.
  • Work with engineering and PD to improve and/or retrofit production equipment.
  • Maintain relationships with outside machine vendors to outsource maintenance activities to ensure appropriate requests response time.
  • Maintain sufficient spare stock to meet maintenance needs.
  • Track maintenance activities, response time, and work quality to assure high quality and timely service.
  • Provide reports of Maintenance Key Performance Indicators.
  • Occasional domestic and/or international travel to additional facilities.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Technical school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    3. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
    4. A minimum of one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience.
    5. Strong background in machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
    6. Knowledge and experience working with machine control systems, including PLC’s, servo controls, and variable speed drives.
    7. Good understanding of GMPs with experience in a medical device environment.
    8. Experience with reading and preparing technical documentation.
    9. Experience with Quality Management Systems.
    10. Excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
    11. Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
    12. Ability to collaborate with others in a team-based environment and maintain a high degree of personal credibility.
    13. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
    14. Proficient computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Ability to perform maintenance activities.
    2. Ability to read, interpret, and modify drawing and sketches.
    3. SAP or other CMMS system experience.
    4. A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience.
    5. Proficient in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
