Position Overview

Lead the strategy development and execution of the MVI scientific communication plans. As a subject matter expert, responsibilities include developing, managing, and implementing internal and external communications of key scientific data, as well as internal company updates on the PACE group activities. Contribute to the development of content for medical/scientific congresses and scientific data for utilization with a wider group of external audiences (eg scientists, HCP’s), as well as support clinical education programs. Ensure compliance with MVI policies and with external country specific clinical indications and regulations. Play an integral role in maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the overall strategy and communication objectives. Job duties:
  • Working in collaboration with the medical writing and marketing team, identify and critically summarize relevant scientific and medical literature across the neurovascular therapeutic area for internal and external communication.
  • Collaborate with internal cross functional partners and HCPs in the development of scientific and clinical data content for scientific/medical conferences.
  • Use strong writing, editing, and project management skills to achieve overall conference strategy goals.
  • Lead cross-functional reviews and serve as point-of-contact in the development of internal and external facing scientific communications across the organization.
  • Support the medical writing team in conducting literature reviews to address internal and external medical information queries and publish monthly internal report of most relevant scientific literature relevant to the MVI business.
  • Manage MV Pub platform and clinical article repository.
  • Develop medical content for internal and external training, manage PACE scientific communication activities for global medical congresses, and facilitate agreement across diverse cross functional partners.
  • Provide input and support the global PACE strategy of medical/scientific podium presentations and company sponsored symposiums.
  • Support the development of internal/external training material on scientific content and educational resources for the organization, playing an integral role in the training and onboarding of new hires.
  • Develop and cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, HCPs/KOLs, academic institutions, hospitals, scientific societies, and associations to facilitate scientific communication efforts, and deliver on the PACE strategic objectives.
  • Conduct business activities in accordance with MVI corporate policies.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
    1. Bachelor’s degree or higher academic certification.
    2. A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, hospital, or healthcare industries.
    3. Neurovascular, peripheral vascular or cardiovascular medical device experience.
    4. Prior experience in communicating scientific/clinical data information, including development of clinical data communication strategy/plan.
    5. Proven successful project management skills with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize projects.
    6. Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel and related systems.
    7. Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
    8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a virtual environment.
    9. Ability to analyze, interpret and summarize clinical data and/or scientific research.
    10. Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.
    11. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
    12. Ability to represent leadership on projects within a specific area interfacing with cross functional partners and medical affairs team.
    13. Resourceful team player, problem solver, and self-starter with a strong focus on driving results.

    2. Clinical disease state and therapy knowledge in the neurovascular interventional field.
    3. Strong interpersonal relationship skills, negotiating and relationship management with ability to drive achievement of PACE strategic objectives.
    4. Recognized as an expert with strong depth and breadth of expertise within area of work in the organization.
    5. Strict attention to detail with ability to effectively translate complex clinical data information.
