Position Overview

Responsible for developing the product development and investment strategy for one or more product areas. Responsible for ensuring that the business maintains the right cadence of innovation and launches to achieve business objectives. Lead launch strategy for new product launches in collaboration with downstream marketing. Job duties:
  • Lead multiple team members in their assigned areas of responsibility and support their future growth.
  • Translate business goals into strategic plans that will drive revenue and exceed financial performance expectations worldwide.
  • Create multi-year strategic growth plans and a robust product roadmap that is aligned cross functionally and accepted by senior leadership.
  • Identify immediate, midterm and long-term product gaps within the portfolio and provide solutions to the gaps; evaluate and make strategic recommendations for new areas of investment.
  • Collaborate with downstream marketing to develop robust launch plans that generate revenue, adoption, and profit.
  • Possess deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, competitive activities, and devices; analyze data to identify trends and opportunity.
  • Identify strategic positioning for product areas.
  • Identify and execute market research to drive business performance and drive portfolio decisions.
  • Build and expand strong relationships with global key opinion leaders; travel to customer sites/labs to support and observe clinical cases, training programs; and leverage relationships to ensure customer needs are met by product portfolio.
  • Partner with stakeholders to create robust business cases to support product development projects.
  • Provide leadership and represent MicroVention at conferences, meetings, and tradeshows.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to marketing directors and other marketing team members.
  • Develop and manage budget.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    1. Bachelor’s degree required.
    2. Minimum fifteen (15) years of professional experience with medical device marketing, strategy, and/or sales.
    3. Minimum seven (7) years of management experience.
    4. Strong leadership and management skills.
    5. Track record of driving results in downstream marketing capacities.
    6. Ability to cultivate strong customer relationships and effectively interface with global customers, sales team, worldwide distributor partners and cross-functional team members.
    7. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
    8. Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, iPad applications, and customer databases.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. MBA preferred.
    2. Ability to effectively recruit, retain and develop talented Marketing professionals.
    3. High level of financial acumen, forecasting, and budget management, including strong analytical skills to analyze and complete financial/profitability analysis, project sales.
    4. Medical device or pharmaceutical sales experience a plus.
