Position Overview

Handle day-to-day Accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. Perform month-end close procedures while adhering to strict deadlines. Job duties:
  • Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements.
  • Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and IP and prepare associated reports.
  • Prepare consolidating and elimination entries.
  • Support the quarterly and annual audit process and prepare necessary schedules, reconciliations, and analyses.
  • Calculate and prepare all royalty billings and payments.
  • Assist as need in the preparation of budgets.
  • Perform additional projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance.
    2. Minimum five (5) years of relevant GL accounting experience.
    3. Foreign entity translation/ remeasurement and consolidation experience.
    4. Prior cost accounting experience in MFG environment (medical device industry a plus).
    5. Must have effective communication (verbal, written and listening) skills.
    6. Must assume responsibility for work completion timelines and perform to meet strict deadlines.
    7. Proficient with ERP systems and accounting software (JDE a plus).
    8. Skill in PC applications: MS Office (Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint). Advanced spreadsheet proficiency a must.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. MBA or CPA desired.
    2. Strong US GAAP technical accounting skills, including experience with SFAS 52.
    3. Skill in analyzing and interpreting financial data in manufacturing environment.
    4. High degree of accuracy in working with large amounts of data.
    5. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
