Position Overview

Provide oversight and lead others to deliver corporate communication services to build relationships with stakeholders, customers, media, internal staff, and business associates. Develop strategies to drive the corporate image and advise management and Associates on all aspects of communication. Understand the importance of consistent messaging and a cohesive company brand on a global basis. Job duties:
  • Communicate the actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
  • Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these.
  • Act as the liaison for collaboration with Product Managers to ensure they are fully equipped to launch their new or enhancement to a product line.
  • Manage the team to create effective product photo and videos to enhance communications, including creation of animation and illustration.
  • Ensure that all promotional materials are routed, reviewed and approved before dissemination, as mandated by the MicroVention quality procedure.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive social media and journal advertising strategy to ensure timely promotion and meet deadlines for final promotional content.
  • Working with Sr. Management, develop and deliver multi-mode global communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of diverse audiences.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. Five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience.
    3. Experience with Public Relations, brand management and product launch fundamentals, including brochure and advertising development.
    4. Expertise with writing and publishing company-wide messaging.
    5. Exceptional editing and proof-reading skills.
    6. Excellent organizational and project coordination ability with acute attention to detail.
    7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
    9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    10. Strong MS Office proficiency with emphasis on design and creative software.
    11. Macintosh/MacBook proficiency preferred with familiarity for most Mac Adobe Programs (Illustrator, In-Design).
    12. Ability to travel 10% as required.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Previous experience in a Corporate Communications department.
    2. Medical device industry experience.
