Position Overview

Handles day to day Accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. Performs month end close procedures while adhering to strict deadlines. • Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements • Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and IP and prepare associated reports • Prepare consolidating and elimination entries • Support the quarterly and annual audit process and prepare necessary schedules, reconciliations and analyses • Calculate and prepare all royalty billings and payments • Assist as needed in the preparation of budgets. • Additional projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned
    • Strong US GAAP technical accounting skills, including experience with SFAS 52
    • Skill in analyzing and interpreting financial data in a manufacturing environment
    • High degree of accuracy in working with large amounts of data
    • Must assume responsibility for timeliness of work completion and perform to meet strict deadlines
    • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
    • Must have effective communication (verbal, written and listening) skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance; MBA or CPA desired
    • Foreign entity translation/remeasurement and consolidation experience
    • Prior cost accounting experience in a MFG environment (Med device industry a plus)
    • Proficient with ERP systems and accounting software (JDE a plus)
    • Skill in PC applications: MS Office (Excel, Work, Outlook PowerPoint). Advanced spreadsheet proficiency a must
    • Minimum five years ofrelevant GL accounting experience
