Position Overview

Responsible for qualitative and quantitative analysis of peripheral vascular markets including developing existing business performance reports, conducting primary and secondary market research, analyzing new product development opportunities, and synthesizing competitive intelligence. Collaborate with MicroVention, California Interventional Systems Business (CAIS) business unit, and Terumo stakeholders to develop new reports and market/financial models, evaluate new technologies, and develop project proposal materials. Job duties:
  • Create reports to highlight key financial metrics for CAIS products based on input from stakeholders. Update and distribute reports regularly.
  • Analyze market reports, competitive earnings results, clinical literatures, and competitive trends and communicate results to key stakeholders.
  • Analyze marketing and financial data; create market share, dollar, and unit reports; communicate results to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to identify new market/disease state opportunities.
  • Monitor the market competition dynamics from established companies to start-ups.
  • Develop financial models to assess opportunities for new product development and current portfolio expansion.
  • Support developing business case materials to evaluate new product development projects and facilitate the project approval.
  • Serve as CAIS liaison to synthesize and consolidate market data from internal and external sources.
  • Leverage insights and market knowledge to enhance collaboration among partners within MicroVention, Terumo, and other stakeholders for market analysis projects.
  • Recommend and implement process/workflow improvements to fulfill and meet business needs for market data analysis.
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of the peripheral vascular market to recommend product portfolio expansion and innovation.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and tradeshows as needed.
  • Respond to ad hoc analytics requests from other functions/departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
    1. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of professional experience with market analysis and modeling.
    2. Experience in healthcare, biotech, or medical device industry is required.
    3. Capacity to analyze problems and develop solutions.
    4. Knowledge and/or experience with global market dynamics.
    5. Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
    6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    7. Extremely reliable and dependable.
    8. High attention to detail and ability to spot data inaccuracies or discrepancies.
    9. Ability to consolidate data from different sources.
    10. Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Intermediate), Teams, and Outlook.
    11. Ability to effectively interface with stakeholders across different organizational levels.
    12. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, articulate market needs, and provide project leadership to multi-functional teams.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience with market analysis and modeling.
    2. Prior experience in identifying and recommending new business opportunities based on market analysis.
    3. Prior experience in creating business cases with supporting assumptions.
    4. Prior experience in endovascular device is a plus.
