Position Overview

Provide regional supply chain support in CHAPLA. Manage processes for structural, business model changes in the region. Lead initiatives and processes related to MV’s overseas subsidiaries and provide operational support. Oversee the sales operations/administration functions including internal control, budgeting, contracts, compensation, and business analysis. Job duties:
  • Regional Supply Chain Management
    • Lead or support the local teams in SAP implementations in the regions.
    • Develop and update demand forecasts, recommend production volumes, and work with SCM to optimize supply and inventory levels.
    • Monitor inventory levels and sales/purchase volumes and help address or prevent product shortages or excess inventory.
    • Coordinate product transitions to new labels, IFUs, and design configurations with other departments within MVI, MV’s subsidiaries, and distributors.
    • Provide regional supply chain support (e.g., shipment arrangements, customs clearance, import duties, certificates of origin, reworks, etc.).
    • Facilitate and coordinate regional supply chain related discussions and initiatives with MV’s overseas entities in the region and MVI’s departments.
  • Structural, Business Model Change Management
    • Help develop and implement plans to make business model changes (e.g., going direct) in the regions. This includes analysis, planning, managing approval processes, setting up new subsidiaries, financing, hiring, legal processes, developing workflows, and SAP implementations.
    • Provide operational support in MV subsidiaries’ business model transitions.
    • Lead the processes of terminating distributors including termination agreements, inventory buyback, etc., working with regional sales management.
  • Sales Operations/Administration
    • Recommend and help implement plans to improve the region’s internal control, policies, and processes related to pricing, free products, distributor management, etc.
    • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and the regional sales management to develop and renew distribution contracts and authorization letters.
    • Help manage the region’s budgeting and spending.
    • Perform various types of sales and business analyses.
    • Oversee other sales administration functions including compensation schemes, expense re-classing/accruals, consignment inventory management, etc.
  • Team Management
    • Mentor, coach, train, and manage direct reports in the regional sales/business operations function.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

    1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. Fluent in English
    3. A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the sales/business operations or supply chain management in the medical device industry.
    4. A minimum of two (2) years of management experience.
    5. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
    6. Strong presentation, analytical, quantitative and project management skills.
    7. Able to effectively work in a team environment, lead cross-functional teams, handle multiple tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
    8. Attention to detail; ability to work autonomously and independently.
    9. Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or similar applicable field.
    2. Fluent in Chinese or another foreign language (e.g., Japanese, Spanish, etc.).
    3. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the neurovascular or other vascular interventions industries.
