Sr. Manager, Supply Planning
Position Overview
Responsible for supply planning of finished goods, inventory analytics/optimization, and specific distribution management duties focused on MicroVention’s site in Aliso Viejo, California, in coordination with Global Supply Chain Planning and Global Procurement teams across the organization. Also responsible for leading the capacity analysis for Aliso Viejo, providing production schedules, ensuring raw material availability, and driving efficiency improvements. Maintain optimum inventory and service levels of finished goods and sub-assemblies in the different distribution centers around the MVI Network for the products manufactured in Aliso Viejo. Job duties:
- Accountable for converting consensus demand into production/inventory requirements in IBP.
- Organize ad-hoc evaluations of short-term supply opportunities and issues.
- Proactively identify and resolve capacity constraints as needed for assigned manufacturing areas and communicate potential product supply risks.
- Escalate product supply risk and communicate significant demand and supply trend shifts to Senior Management.
- Proactively reduce obsolescence risk and non-value-added materials.
- Work with different stakeholders on product transfers and new product introductions, ensuring proper capacity, production ramp up/ramp down, and inventory plans are developed.
- Establish site specific guidelines for production scheduling.
- Coordinate commercialization and scheduling of new product roll-out at the site.
- Act as the senior management point-of-contact for Supply Chain Operations in California, including logistics activities.
- Establish supply operations according to site charter.
- Identify and support process improvement activities/projects.
- Ensure a safe work environment for his/her department.
- Manage and develop careers for supply chain planning professionals and provide mentorship for junior team members in other Supply Chain Operations functions.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
