Engineer JR CAD
Position Overview
A CAD Specialist uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop technical drawings, blueprints, or other schematics. Job duties include translating technical documents into a drawing, evaluating technical design parameters, and working directly with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals. A career as a CAD Specialist requires some formal qualifications and education, typically a degree in computer science, computer-aided design, or a related field. Job duties:
- Support a range of engineering activities for new product development.
- Design, develop, and test simple to moderate complexity assembly and test fixtures.
- Assist R&D Engineers with product development by rapidly prototyping designs, evaluating design performance, troubleshooting, and understanding failure modes, proposing design improvements.
- Update CAD drawings.
- Modify and perform mechanical drawings updates for initial release in collaboration with the R&D Engineering team.
- Manage, review, and update CAD files in accordance to MicroVention CAD standards.
- Assist BEX-PLM team with training of Windchill-CAD requirements and procedures.
- Troubleshoot user-related Windchill-CAD issues.
- Review and perform Windchill-CAD management related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
