Position Overview

Develop product, research new ideas, and establish process development. Focus is on both theoretical and practical solution development through the application of the scientific process.
  1. Develop and manage project plans, schedule and budget for R&D programs while providing key support across projects for business-critical projects
  2. Direct and coordinate manufacturing or building of prototype product
  3. Analyze research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal
  4. Specify new supplies, raw materials, and required testing for new raw materials
  5. Coordinate research/engineering personnel to prepare design modifications, process map creation, clarify problems, and develop designs and system solutions
  6. Evaluate engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses
  7. Perform domestic and international clinic studies and manage physician customer feedback on products available in the market
  8. Review staffing levels for R&D programs based on required qualifications and perform resource management for regulatory updates in different geographies around the world
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Details

    1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related/equivalent field of study
    2. A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in medical device environment
    3. A minimum of seven (7) years of management experience
    4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    5. Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
    Desired Qualifications:
    1. Use of computer assisted engineering, design software, and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks
    2. Knowledge of medical, engineering, and biomedical development
    3. Analyze data and propose solutions
    4. Knowledge of clinical procedures in interventional neuroradiology
