Our summer internship program immerses each intern in an interactive, project-based work environment. Over the span of three months, interns will participate in an in-depth orientation week, facility tours, Leadership Speaker Series Q&A panel, community service activities, and socials—all crafted to invest in our interns’ personal and professional development. Year over year, MicroVention continues to have best-in-class conversion rates, converting interns in the following departments: HR, HR Communications, Talent Development, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Accounting, and more.
R&D Intern
The R&D Intern will assist in supporting development of medical device products through project work focused on developing new equipment, test models and test methods for verifying specifications, designs, fixtures, test processes, equipment and helping to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements. R&D Intern
The R&D Intern will assist in supporting development of medical device products through project work focused on developing new equipment, test models and test methods for verifying specifications, designs, fixtures, test processes, equipment and helping to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements. Typical job duties might include:
- R&D engineering project involvement.
- Develops new test models and test methods applying bioengineering principles
- Performs product and equipment testing
- Capable of meeting project goals with moderate supervision.
- Perform data analysis and prepares test reports
- Performs research through literature search, design of experiments, and combination of computational and experimental studies
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
