Our summer internship program immerses each intern in an interactive, project-based work environment. Over the span of three months, interns will participate in an in-depth orientation week, facility tours, Leadership Speaker Series Q&A panel, community service activities, and socials—all crafted to invest in our interns’ personal and professional development. Year over year, MicroVention continues to have best-in-class conversion rates, converting interns in the following departments: HR, HR Communications, Talent Development, Marketing, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Accounting, and more.
R&D Intern (Neurovascular Stents)
The R&D Intern will assist in supporting development of medical device products through project work focused on verifying specifications, designs, fixtures, test processes, equipment and helping to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements. Typical job duties might include:
The neurovascular stoke electrical R&D team supports the development of coil detachment and aspiration systems for the non-invasive treatment of aneurysms and ischemic stroke. The R&D intern will be part of a team bringing a developmental aspiration device to market.

The R&D Intern will assist in supporting development of medical device products through project work focused on verifying specifications, designs, fixtures, test processes, equipment and helping to ensure the concepts and/or prototypes meet their requirements. Typical job duties might include:
- R&D project involvement
- Device design and process development
- Device flow model bench and physical attribute testing
- Data analysis and test report write-ups
- Fixture designs
- Development of documentations
