Position Overview

Provide Strategic Leadership as a “subject matter expert” (SME) on focused new technologies and key medical devices in selected neuro-interventional procedures. Provide technical, clinical, procedural, and product educational support for these defined new technologies. Lead, support, and provide didactic, hands-on, pre-clinical, procedural and product field-based training, and case support to physicians, all hospital personnel, and customers as well as MV associates. Possess the ability to proctor physicians and/or ancillary staff in procedures where these devices are utilized. OPEN TO US BASED REMOTE CANDIDATES.

Provide strategic leadership for Marketing-PM, Corporate Training, and other internal stakeholders on specific new product launches. Lead and support Sales, Marketing and Corporate Training with field-based activities, clinical education, and competitive products in the neuro-interventional market. Job duties:
  • Conduct and support product/clinical education on MicroVention “best practices” with physicians on their initial use to ensure the safe and effective outcomes for specific new technologies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and N.A. Sales to assist development and provide optimal technical/clinical support for product evaluations, physician new-users, challenging cases, clinical in-services, and other physician training and educational support programs on specific new technologies.
  • Support virtual/remote cases with physicians and Territory Managers, over a variety of platforms including MS Teams, Facetime, phone calls, text messages, WhatsApp, or other approved communication methods.
  • Support research and analytics on competitive products and their potential impact on MicroVention business; provide recommendations and support for development of product positioning, education materials, and product development programs.
  • Strategically lead engagement with associates from key functional groups including, but not limited to, Marketing, Sales, Clinical Research, R&D, and Regulatory Affairs to drive success of MicroVention products, development, and other programs.
  • Support new product development including physician preference testing, pre-clinical testing, evaluation of new products, and new product technical case support as needed.
  • Support analysis and reporting on clinical performance issues and support post market surveillance as needed.
  • Lead and support the development of clinical education materials along with Product Marketing and Clinical Research for use by Clinical, Sales, and distributors globally.
  • Conduct and support account CEU programs for product/clinical education on the initial-use; support the Global Market Development team to integrate “best practices”; and ensure consistency on optimal clinical techniques for product evaluations, launches, new-user training and completion of controlled clinical trials and case series.
  • Support sales team with timely responses to clinical product and procedural questions.
  • Support focused product coverage for the Global Market Development at local, regional, and other global scientific meetings, training, or marketing programs as assigned.
  • Maintain organized and relevant files with anonymized, HIPAA-compliant case images.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    1. Technical degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) CV, VI, Registered Nurse (R.N.) or Endovascular, Cardiac background with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Angio-Suite (or equivalent) interventional procedures, with experience in neuro endovascular therapies as a technologist or nurse preferred.
    3. Minimum of three (3) years of MicroVention experience; or equivalent neurovascular industry or hospital clinical technologist management experience required.
    4. Knowledge of complete vascular anatomy (cardiovascular system) and physiology with an extensive focus on Neurovascular/Peripheral catheterization knowledge, techniques, and skills.
    5. Capability and flexibility to travel to hospitals and participate in clinical case coverage as well as training/Marketing/Sales events worldwide.
    6. Extensive travel required: local, regional, national and some global (75%-80% of the time).
    7. Understanding of project management, clinical study project, trials, and personnel management.
    8. Capable of effectively interfacing/communicating with sales staff, cross-functional MicroVention teams and worldwide distributor organizations.
    9. Moderate computer and iPad skills with working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and maintaining customer databases.
    10. Extremely reliable and dependable.
    11. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    12. Knowledge of complete cardiovascular vascular anatomy with a focus on neurovascular.
    13. Neurovascular/Peripheral catheterization knowledge, techniques, and skills.
    14. Ability to recognize normal and abnormal disease processes as they relate to clinical cases and the use of MicroVention products.
    15. Ability to effectively articulate MicroVention product use, concepts, outcomes, and clinical advantages.
    16. Ability to effectively interface with physicians, staff, and hospital administration.
    17. Ability to effectively interface with Sales, Marketing peers, R&D, Engineering, and Clinical Research staff.
