Position Overview

Responsible for leading, managing, and supporting various Global Market Development initiatives and programs designed to maintain and expand the worldwide adoption of MicroVention products. Provide leadership with MVI programs including, but not limited to, focused product initiatives, proctor development, technical, clinical, educational, and administrative. Job duties:
  • Develop and manage suitable objectives, strategies, and tactics for complete execution of Global Market Development initiatives, including setting performance standards, developing deadlines, managing budgets, and monitoring inter-connected projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Supervise, mentor, and direct the development for Specialist/ Sr. Specialist/Associate Manager level Global Market Development team associates as assigned.
  • Build, develop, and implement field-based product specific Strategic Programs at targeted sites for WEB/WEB-17, FRED/FRED-X, and STROKE (SofiaFLOW, Bobby, ERIC).
    • Help Sales Management (RSMs) to identify key target sites.
    • Lead Sales/Sales Management to develop and deliver focused strategic programs.
    • Support local Sales (TSMs) and other field-based associates to build and develop Laser focused tactical activities and engagement.
      • Relationship development.
      • Targeted product specific programs and engagement activities.
      • Deployment of precise value-added resources and programs.
      • RFP pricing / contracting programs.
  • Provide Quarterly assessment (update) to all cross functional teams to help fine tune targeted product specific programs and resources.
  • Provide ongoing technical and clinical case support on focused products at targeted sites.
    • Collaborate with field sales associates and Clinical Specialists to assure proper customer application and use of focused products.
    • Assist with new product clinical evaluations, provide pre-clinical & clinical training, and case support.
  • Lead proctor, healthcare professional, and other physician training events. Support the product management team involving key healthcare physician experts in the development of white papers, podium events, publications, training, other consulting work under HCP agreements, and general marketing team initiatives.
  • Consistently monitor product activities such as clinical and financial performance for competitor products. Manage communication of results to appropriate product management and clinical team members.
  • Lead and support the strategic execution of physician engagement and visits at the MVI Global Innovation Center and from Key accounts globally.
  • Lead and manage the continued development of the Remote Proctor Program with webinars, training material, and the use of resources/technology for remote proctor case support and physician training. Provide regular and detailed updates to executive staff.
  • Develop and manage dashboards/scorecards of Global Market Development team initiatives for remote physician proctor documentation, providing strategic recommendations based on analysis and support of data.
  • Establish relationships and work effectively with healthcare professionals, vendors, global sales, distribution teams, all cross-functional departments, and associates.
  • Some local, regional, national, and global travel required (20% -35% of the time).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including activities outside of job functions as necessary to support strategic goals of the organization.

    1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
    2. Field-base clinical experience, broad knowledge of vascular anatomy with focus on neurovascular products and procedures.
    3. Proven management skills, five plus (5+) years of professional experience with experience as a Program or Product Manager.
    4. Leadership of project management, clinical study project, trials, and personnel management.
    5. Experience with medical devices required.
    6. Capable of effectively interfacing/communicating with physician and clinical/technical customers, MVI senior staff, cross-functional team members, global sales MicroVention business partners and worldwide distributor organizations.
    7. Capacity to analyze problems, develop solutions and work in a team environment.
    8. Able to handle multiple tasks effectively, consistently meeting deadlines, and following-through on commitments.
    9. Capability and flexibility to travel to hospitals and participates in training/marketing events worldwide.
    10. Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook software computer and iPad skills with working knowledge of and ability to maintaining customer databases.
    11. Extremely reliable and dependable.
    12. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Master’s degree in business or related field preferred.
    2. Experience with neurovascular devices preferred.
    3. Excellent organizational and project coordination ability with acute attention to detail.
    4. Professional talent to accommodate the needs of multiple associates with various work styles.
    5. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    6. Strong MS Office proficiency with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook software; knowledge of Adobe and related graphics programs is preferred.
    7. Knowledge of complete cardiovascular vascular anatomy with a focus on neurovascular/peripheral catheterization knowledge, techniques, and skills.
    8. Ability to effectively articulate MicroVention product use, concepts, outcomes, clinical device protocols, and study design.
