Position Overview

  • Oversees technicians in the execution of calibrations.
  • Prioritize, assign, and schedule Calibration work orders based on manufacturing/development need, priority, and demand.
  • Organizes the coordination of activities with outside suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery.
  • Work along with Metrologist for developing methods for calibrating production and test equipment.
  • Point of contact for the site calibration program and will ensure all calibrations are executed on time.
  • Responsible for managing investigation related to calibration processes.
  • Responsible for calibration function daily activities to meet operational goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Maintains Calibration Documentation/Records.
  • Participate in metrology enhancement projects affecting measuring equipment at MicroVention sites.
  • Collaborate and provide technical support to out of tolerance and calibration overdue investigations.
  • Provide metrology technical support to other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • ASQ CCT or equivalent certification/education.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Calibration Systems.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervisory roles
    • Prior medical device experience, highly preferred.
    Experience developing calibration test methods on different magnitudes, preferred.
