Position Overview

The Director Human Resources Manager (HRM), EMEA is a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to the diverse EMEA region, supporting key initiatives aligned with the global HR strategy. The HRM will provide consultative HR solutions and support to the region, driving engagement and alignment of HR programs and services to business objectives. Serve as a subject matter expert on all HR-related issues. Job duties:
  • ­Strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, management and employees located primarily in France, Germany, United Kingdom, and Italy.
  • Design or contribute to strategic initiatives to drive employee engagement, that support the complex and evolving needs of the business, such as Talent Development programs, talent management, workforce planning, organizational change, recognition programs, etc.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop talent strategies to build organizational capabilities, expand internal bench strength, and support organizational goals.
  • Provide solutions to talent gaps or shifting business demands that leverage employee development opportunities, career/succession planning, and talent mobility.
  • Coach and support business leaders on all aspects of the employee experience, including employee engagement, embracing core values, reinforcing company culture, and addressing employee relations issues.
  • Manage regional HR Operations, including development/maintenance of compensation structure, benefits administration, HR Systems and Analytics, Workers’ Compensation, and payroll support.
  • Partner and collaborate with other HR functions to develop and deliver seamless, integrated HR solutions that are aligned with region and company initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, ethics, and company policies. Facilitate the creation of key policies, practices, and procedures. Provide advice to leaders which are consistent with local, international and industry policies. Manage relationships with Works Council.
  • Work on special and cross-functional projects as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    1. BS/BA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. At least twelve (12) years of professional HR experience in multiple areas.
    3. A minimum of five (5) years of management or leadership experience, with increasing scope and responsibility.
    4. Demonstrated advanced ability to partner, interface, influence, and establish successful relationships with all levels of the organization.
    5. A high level of expertise in the HR function, including talent acquisition, talent development, talent management, employee relations, rewards and recognition, compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation, and compliance.
    6. Strong business acumen, including a proven track record of success with conflict management, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.
    7. In-depth knowledge of HR principles and best practices, and relevant labor laws and regulations, with the ability to manage and resolve complex employment issues.
    8. Ability to navigate in a globally matrixed environment with a diverse population.
    9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation and presentation skills.
    10. Strong written and verbal English language skills.
    11. Skilled proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and other computer programs.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. ­Master’s degree.
    2. HR Certification.
    3. Relevant industry experience, with regional experience in France or Italy desirable.
    4. Ability to navigate in a globally matrixed environment with a diverse population.
    5. Two (2) years of talent branding experience.
    6. Experience developing a comprehensive compensation structure.
    7. Expertise utilizing HRIS, HR database/applications, and LMS preferred.
