Responsible for coordinating, prioritizing Machine Shop job requests for the CNC department. Maintain the machine shop CNC department and its equipment in a manner that promotes an efficient, safe, and clean working environment. Job duties:
  • Oversee, assign, and prioritize tasks for CNC machinists.
  • Maintain Machine Shop in such a manner as to promote a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
  • Work with R&D and Engineering as needed to produce equipment and tooling that is better optimized for machining.
  • Maintain sufficient material stock to meet departmental material needs.
  • Track machinists’ time for projects to be able to provide a labor cost for equipment and tooling that is manufactured in-house.
  • Update SharePoint Machine Shop requests to reflect current job status.
  • Inspect, assemble, clean, and repair production tooling.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

    1. HS diploma or equivalent.
    2. Detail oriented.
    3. Possess machine shop math skills and ability to perform calculations as needed.
    4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    5. Critical machined part inspection experience.
    6. Experience using inspection instruments, optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, and toolmakers microscope.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Experience with CNC machining, conventional machines, lathe, milling machine, and surface grinder preferred.
    2. Previous management or supervisor experience in a Machine Shop environment is preferred.
    3. Ability to read, interpret, and modify drawings and sketches is preferred.
    4. Solidworks and Microsoft Office 365 experience preferred
