Position Overview

Through development of world class processes (including, but not limited to Sales and Operations Planning), lead organization to ensure business plans are translated into clear, transparent inventory strategies agreed to by all key upstream stakeholders. Ensure clear requirements to Manufacturing and other operational departments. Monitor and maintain visibility to inventory health, proactively driving attention and marshalling required resources to resolve issues. Direct team of supply chain professionals to deliver world class product availability and working capital management. Job duties:
  • Partner closely with upstream Commercial leadership (Marketing, Sales, Finance) and manage stakeholder groups to ensure inventory targets adequately reflect business needs. Develop critical metrics depicting inventory health and ensure actions plans are taken to mitigate risks, minimizing financial exposure of raw materials and finished goods (including field inventory). Develop processes and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks related to planning and forecasting.
  • Lead key processes (S&OP, other) to deliver consensus demand signals to drive alignment with supporting operations, including Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Procurement activities. Develop key performance metrics to measure process and business performance.
  • Define and influence senior stakeholder group to achieve buy-in on needed process improvements.
  • Provide sourcing support to Research and Development and Manufacturing cost reduction efforts.
  • Develop and manage careers for team of high performing and motivated Supply Chain professionals.
  • Manage resource allocation, including budget and staff.
  • Travel required, up to 15%.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in field directly related to supply chain and/or operations.
    2. Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of Supply Chain or Operations experience.
    3. Minimum seven (7) years of management responsibility.
    4. Minimum five (5) years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, ormedical diagnostics industry.
    5. Demonstrated experience in broad functional management: including budget and resource management.
    6. Demonstrated experience anticipating needs and managing senior stakeholder audiences. Comfortable communicating with and influencing senior executives.
    7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    8. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to assign and monitor work.
    9. Extensive knowledge and expertise with materials management.
    10. Knowledgeable in LEAN principles for supply chain.
    11. Expert knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
    12. General mastery of key software tools MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
    Desired Qualifications
    1. Extensive knowledge and expertise with the general supply chain concepts.
    2. Strong understanding of how key Supply Chain functions interface with Customer Service, Regulatory, Quality, R&D, and Manufacturing functions.
    3. Ability to understand varying and sometimes complex needs of a senior stakeholder group. Ability to clear communicate complex ideas.
    4. Experience in fast growing environment and similar size organization.
    5. Expert knowledge of advanced supply chain tools and concepts, including Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and specifically SAP.
    6. Master’s degree in MBA or related field.
