Position Overview

Responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the processes related to compensation and benefits, and budget scheme in accordance with business strategy and corporate guidelines, and with general direction and support of the HR Business Partners (HRBP).

Accountable for maintaining governance with Corporate U.S. hub in areas of compensation and benefits. Technical and plan/benefit design will meet internal and local market needs however, will first align and leverage U.S. program philosophy and technical configuration as priority where able.

Analyzes external/internal compensation information, makes recommendations, and executes against recommendations. Consults on compensation issues (for example new hire offers, promotion increases). Interacts with HRBPs regularly. Maintains and executes compensation programs including base pay, salary survey, job evaluation, job classification, as necessary. Responsible for maintaining existing salary structure and competitive market position for the company’s existing and future associates. Leads key programs and projects such as compensation budget planning, merit and bonus cycle administration, as per the company annual cycle in collaboration and alignment with global program philosophy.

Administers employee benefits such as medical and life insurance, educational assistance, cafeteria, clinic; and others, as may be needed. Job duties:
  • Maintains close communication and collaboration with the HR team members, providing excellent service and timely response to compensation ad-hoc, daily and annual needs and inquiries.
  • Develops and conducts analysis, presenting results to the HR Director, the HR Operations Manager, and the HRBPs to enable modifications and or adjustments to the compensation scheme, whenever necessary, in order to maintain competitiveness in the market and retain talent aligned with corporate compensation strategy.
  • Responsible for the analysis of job descriptions, compensation and benefits and evaluation in design and administrative setup and coordination with Corporate in the U.S.
  • Makes proposals regarding compensation and benefits for new hires.
  • Initiates and participates in different benchmarks.
  • Prepares total reward statements and other compensation statements, as required.
  • Active participation in salary surveys, supports data integrity and maintenance of surveys and employee refresh of data in PayFactors, in order to ensure the internal equity and external competitiveness of the company.
  • Maintains alignment and governance with U.S. core benefit offerings as applicable.
  • Administration and control of the different benefits, ensuring that the guidelines of the policy or procedure are met.
  • Responsible for the administration of the company's Life & Health Insurance and doctor's office.
  • Coordinates the Wellness programs with the EHS Department.
  • Reviews, updates and ensures compliance with the Human Resources policies related to compensation and benefits.
  • Active participation in the budget planning cycles with the HR Ops Manager and the HR Director, ensuring budget needs related.
  • Provides compensation consultation and stays current with legal updates and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

    1. BS / BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    2. Minimum of three (3) years of professional HR experience with emphasis in compensations and benefits.
    3. Good knowledge of HR principles and practices and applicable employment pay, benefits, laws and regulations.
    4. Knowledge of HRIS systems, basic HR measurement, and process improvement techniques.
    5. Excellent MS Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
    6. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
    7. Must have experience in managing Job Evaluations with Strata or Hay Points.
    8. Ideal to have experience managing benefits as: corporate cafeterias, organization of Health campaigns, medical and life insurance administration.
