Richard Cappetta President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Cappetta was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of MicroVention, Inc. in April 2008 having previously served as Sr. Vice President for Worldwide Sales. Mr. Cappetta joined the Company in 1999 and has over 20 years senior management experience in the medical device industry. Prior to joining MicroVention, he held senior sales and marketing management positions, both domestically and internationally, at cardiovascular firms such as Medtronic AneuRx, Target Therapeutics, Scimed Life Systems, Trimedyne, C.R. Bard, and Electro-Catheter Corp. He holds a BS degree in business administration from Arizona State University. Mr. Cappetta is member of MicroVention’s Board of Directors.
William R. Hughes Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer Mr. Hughes was appointed Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer of MicroVention, Inc. in April 2008 having served previously as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since joining the Company in 2002. Mr. Hughes has over 25 years of experience in medical and other technology sectors while holding senior financial positions in public companies and as a former partner and manager in the accounting firm of KPMG Peat Marwick. Mr. Hughes holds a BS degree in economics from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo with concentrations in finance and accounting. Mr. Hughes is a member of MicroVention’s Board of Directors.
Cherie Henket Vice President, Human Resources
Ms. Henket was appointed Vice President of Human Resources of MicroVention, Inc. in July 2009 having served previously as the Director of Human Resources since joining the Company in 2006. Ms. Henket has approximately 20 years of Human Resources experience and has held various senior and management human resources positions in primarily technology companies such as Sanera Systems/McDATA Corp., Jetstream Communications and Sun Microsystems. She holds a JD from Western State University, College of Law and a BA in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Long Beach.
Glenn Latham Vice President, Worldwide Marketing
Mr. Latham was appointed Vice President, Worldwide Marketing of MicroVention, Inc. in May 2008 having served previously as the Director of Worldwide Marketing since joining the Company in 2001. Mr. Latham has nearly 30 years experience in the medical device industry where he has held various executive sales and marketing positions with firms such as Cordis Corp., Micro Therapeutics, Inc. and IntraLuminal Therapeutics, Inc. He holds a BS degree in Chemistry and MBA from the University of Florida.
Jun Hoshino Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development Mr. Hoshino was appointed to Vice President, Strategic Planning and Business Development of MicroVention, Inc. in 2008 following his position as Director, Worldwide Sales Planning, which he has held since joining the Company in 2006. Mr. Hoshino was an integral member of the Terumo/MicroVention Acquisition and Transition Team and has over 17 years experience in various business and product development positions domestically and internationally with the Company’s parent company, Terumo Corporation. Mr. Hoshino holds an MBA from Washington University, Olin School of Business, St. Louis, MO, focusing on Management Strategy and Financial Accounting and a BA in Bio-Chemistry.
G. Robert Greene Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Greene has recently assumed the position of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) with MicroVention. Prior to his new role, he was the Senior Vice President, Research and Development for MicroVention, Inc. since joining the Company in 1998. His role as a Founder and leader has attributed to the companies continued success in the neuroendovascular business. Mr. Greene has over 30 years experience in the medical device industry and has held various senior management positions in Research and Development, Operations and Manufacturing with companies such as MicroTherapeutics, Inc., Vesica Medical, Inc., Advanced Surgical Intervention, Inc. and Shiley, Inc. He holds a BS degree in Industrial Technology from California State University, Long Beach.
Matthew Fitz Sr. Vice President, Research and Development and Operations
Mr. Fitz has recently assumed the role of Sr. Vice President, Research and Development and Operations for MicroVention with prior roles consisting of Vice President, Manufacturing, Operations and Reliability since 2006 and as a Senior Director, Engineering and Director, Research and Development since joining the Company in 2001. Prior to joining MicroVention, Inc., Mr. Fitz held various management and technical positions at Guidant. Mr. Fitz holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University and an MS in Bioengineering from the University of California at San Diego and is a Registered Patent Agent licensed to practice before the US Patent Office.
Bruce Canter Senior Counsel, Vice President, Law and Secretary
Mr. Canter has served as the Intellectual Property Counsel for MicroVention, Inc. since joining the Company in 2005. Prior to joining MicroVention, Mr. Canter had managed intellectual property law groups and had specialized in strategic patent counseling for medical device companies and served as Corporate Counsel for Baxter Healthcare. Mr. Canter has a BA in Philosophy from Brandeis, an MA from the University of Pittsburgh, a JD from the University of California at Davis and is licensed to practice in CA and before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Vin Cutarelli Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance
Mr. Cutarelli was appointed Sr. Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance of MicroVention Inc. in March 2011. Vin has held past leadership roles at MicroVention, Endocare, Allergan Optical and Baxter. His experience in medical device and pharmaceutical industries has included regulatory and clinical affairs, quality assurance, QSR/ISO compliance and documentation control. Mr. Cutarelli holds a BS degree in chemistry from Clark University.
Phil Harvey Vice President, Controller
Mr. Harvey was appointed Vice President, Controller of MicroVention, Inc. in July 2009 having served previously as the Controller. Mr. Harvey joined the Company in 2002 and has over 30 years experience in varied industries including medical technology, hi-tech, aerospace, oil & gas, and property development. He holds a BS degree in Finance from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a MBA from the University of La Verne. |
